Foreign Ownership

There is no restriction to ownership of property on Hamilton Island to foreign owners. This is however different to the mainland property market, where foreign ownership is governed by The Foreign Investment Review Board. At present approximately 7% of owners on the island are from overseas with this number likely to increase due to the popularity of this destination.
